The Why Walton Awards is an employee recognition program sponsored by KOCH Orthodontics. Board members and district leaders recognize and appreciate that the Walton County School District is full of talented and dedicated employees who play an important role in the safety, security and success of our students. The goal of this program is to identify and recognize employees who, in their contributions and service to the District, demonstrate high-quality job performance above normal expectations and exemplify #whywalton.

Staff, students and community members can nominate an employee. All employees are eligible for nomination. Nominations will be made via an easy-to-use form (click on the "Nominate An Employee" button below to complete the form) and reviewed monthly by a committee comprised of district leaders. One nominee will be selected each month and receive formal recognition at a Board meeting. All nominees will receive notice of their nomination.
